Thompson, Arnold, 84, passed away December 16, 2008 at Baptist Hospital,
East.
He retired from General Electric after 22 years and was an Army
veteran and served in WWII. He was a member of Rockford Lane Baptist
Church, G.E. Retiree Club, Local 761 I.U.E and a volunteer for Lord's
Kitchen.
He is preceded in death by his wife Frances Thompson; parents
Will and Stella Thompson; son Arnold Thompson, Jr.
He is survived by his children, James Eric Thompson (Mendy) and Lisa Morgan (Damon); two granddaughters, Sarah and Rachel; sister, Carleen Wethington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. His service will be 10am Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Upton Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday 4-8pm and Friday 10-8pm.
