Margaret A. (DePietro) Taurasi, passed away Tuesday, December 16 at the Norwood Hospital. She was 99 years old.
Born and raised in Everett, she was the daughter of the late Carmine and Josephine DePietro. A resident of West Medford for the past 59 years, Margaret was a long-time member of the Santa Maria Lodge of Medford.
She was the wife of the late A.V. Taurasi and mother of Anthony V. Taurasi, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Dedham, and the late Michael C. Taurasi. She was the grandmother of Elizabeth M. Taurasi of Wilmington and Anthony V. Taurasi III. She was the great-grandmother of Anthony V. Taurasi IV. She leaves her brother, Alfred DePietro of Georgetown and Robert DePietro of Everett and the late John DePietro, William DePietro, Edith Nicossia, Rose DePietro, Maria DePietro, Eva Daley, and Helen Coughlin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford, Saturday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., W. Medford at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family for the hour prior to mass. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.
