M. Jean "Jeannie" (Robinson) Keohane, a longtime resident of West Roxbury, passed away on December 16, 2008. She was 77 years old.
Born in New Brunswick, Canada and raised in Woburn MA, Jeannie worked for 20 years as the Executive Secretary in the office of State Senator Anna P. Buckley of Brockton. Jeannie was an avid animal lover, known to regularly take in a stray cat or dog. Widowed at age 40, Jeannie single-handedly raised her 6 daughters. She loved spending time at the beach, especially Hampton Beach in her younger years, and more recently at Nantasket Beach.
Jeannie was the dear wife of the late Robert L. Keohane. Loving mother of Mary Jaradeh of West Roxbury, Aleatha Alassaf and her husband Hakam of West Roxbury, Connie Keohane of Boston, Therese Keohane of Westford, Peggy Keohane of West Roxbury and Roberta Sullivan and her husband Steven of Duxbury. She was the adoring grandmother of Michael, Jenna, and Daniel Jaradeh; Robert Alassaf; Karina and Charlotte Suszynski, and Montana and Cole Sullivan. Dear sister of Daniel Robinson of Sarasota, FL, his wife Joanne; Nancy Parker of Burlington and the late Enoch Robinson. Jeannie is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and wonderful friends that graced her life.
Jeannie's beautiful life was celebrated with the Funeral Mass December 19, 2008 at at St. Theresa of Avila Church, West Roxbury.
