Paul K. “Jake” Jacob, 68, life time resident of Abington, died Saturday December 13th in the Brigham & Women’s Hospital Boston from complications resulting from a motor vehicle accident in 2004. Paul was the beloved, devoted and loving husband of Patricia A. (Beale), loving and cherished father of Paul D. Jacob of Abington, Danielle Rhoades and her husband Kent, of Whitman grandfather “Tattoo” cherished and loved by his granddaughter Honour Katherine Rhoades of Whitman. Lovingly survived by his mother Virginia (Batson) and the late Robert Jacob of Abington, his brothers, Armand (Mike) and his wife Dianne of Rockland Roger Jacob of Kentucky, his sister Roberta Gervalakis of Abington; loving remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and his friends. Paul was born in Weymouth, raised in Abington, a graduate of Abington High School. He was employed at the Frolio School in Abington. Paul was well known for always helping others, his abundant acts of kindness and his friendships to everyone and over powering love given to his family. He will always be remembered for his strength and compassion for life. He will be sadly missed.
Family and friends are invited to attend his services on Friday December 19th at 8:15AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rt 58 at the Rotary circle) Whitman, MA, followed by a funeral mass at 9:00AM in the St Bridget Church, Abington, MA. His interment will follow in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Rockland, MA.
