ZELL, Edward A.- Of Malden, formerly on Somerville, December 14th. Devoted husband of Florence Ann (Blanchard) and the late Genevieve (Doucette) Zell. Beloved father of Mary Ingersoll and her husband Arthur of Tewksbury, Michael Zell and his wife Jackie of Saugus, Nancy Wrona and her husband Stanley of Poughquag, NY, Marilyn Domoretsky and her husband Donald of Stoneham and the late Robert Zell. Cherished grandfather of Jason and Christopher Ingersoll, Michelle Matayabas, Adam and Nicholas Zell, Andrew and Emily Wrona and Donald, Brian and Lisa Domoretsky. Also lovingly survived by his great grandchildren, Madison Matayabas, McKenna Gagliardi and Jordyn Thomson. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Carroll Funeral Home, 721 Salem Street (Maplewood Square) MALDEN on Thursday morning, December 18th at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem Street, MALDEN at 10 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Carroll Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Forestdale Cemetery, Malden.
Born in New London, CT and a resident of Malden for many years, Edward, at 83 years of age, passed away at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital early Sunday morning after a long illness. A veteran of the United States Navy during WW II, prior to his retirement, he worked as a machinist at J.H. Winn in Winchester and at Mannings, Maxwell and Moore in Cambridge. A logtime usher at St. Joseph's Church, member of the Tewksbury K of C, he was an avid Red Sox fan who loved any type of dancing.
