Obituary

Walter Z. Kaplan of Revere and formerly of Chelsea entered into eternal rest on Saturday December 13th. He was 88 years old. Born in Chelsea Walter was a resident of Chelsea most of his life. He resided at the Jack Satter House in Revere for the last 20 years. Walter was educated in the Chelsea schools and graduated from Chelsea High School. He also graduated from the Mass College of Pharmacy and worked as a pharmacist for many years before retirement.

Walter was also a member of Temple Emmanuel and the Brotherhood. He also served on the board of directors of the temple and he was an active participant in the services at the temple. Walter was also a member of the Jack Satter House Tenant’s Association and Congregation 420. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army.

Walter is survived by his wife Clara (Koltow) , and was the devoted father of Arnold J. Kaplan and Edward S. Kaplan and his wife Ronna. The dear brother of Arthur Kaplan and the loving grandfather of Adam and Matthew. Services were held at the Torf Funeral Chapel 151 Washington Ave., Chelsea on Tuesday December 16th. Interment was in the Agudos Shalom Cemetery in Everett. Donations in his memory may be made to Temple Emmanuel 60 Tudor St. Chelsea or the Jack Satter House Tenant’s Association 420 Revere Beach Blvd. Revere, MA 02151.
