Obituary

Ann (Webster) O'Neil, a lifelong resident of the Beachmont section of Revere, died on Sunday, December 14, 2008, at Lahey Clinic in Burlington following an extended illness. She was 90 years old.

Ann was born in Boston on August 26, 1918. She grew up in Revere where she attended Revere Public Schools and graduated from Revere High School in 1936. She also attended Burdett Secretarial School in Boston for 2 years. Ann began working for Jordan Marsh Company in 1962 as a secretary and retired in 1987 after 25 years of service. She was a lifelong communicant and former member of the Ladies Sodality of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish which closed in Revere.

Ann is the beloved wife of the late John J. O'Neil and Daniel Donahue. She is the devoted mother of John O'Neil and his wife Maureen of Boxford, Susan Casey and her husband Stephen of Wakefield, Patricia O'Neil and her husband David LeFrancois of Derry, New Hampshire, Peter O'Neil and his wife Jeanne Hopkins of Needham and the late Paul O'Neil. She is the loving Nana to 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She is the beloved sister of Mary Richard of Agawam, the late Louise Catalano, John and Daniel Webster.

Ann's Funeral will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2008, at 9 a.m. from The Carr Funeral Home, 1159 Main Street, Wakefield/Melrose, line followed by her Funeral Mass in The Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main Street, Wakefield, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, December 17, 2008, from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
