Erin M. Kelly-Cardin, 47

Dateline: Woonsocket, Rhode Island

Erin M. Kelly- Cardin, 47, of Woonsocket, R.I. formerly of Mansfield died in the comfort of her home in the presence of her loving family on Wednesday December 10, 2008. She was the beloved wife of Henry M. Cardin to whom she had spent over 25 years together with.
Born in Somerville, MA on April 22, 1961 she was the dear daughter of Phyllis L. (Jacobs) Kelly of Mansfield and the late William E. Kelly who passed away on May 9, 2000.
She grew up in Mansfield and was educated in Mansfield public schools. She was a 1979 graduate of Mansfield High School and furthered her studies at Community College in Franklin.
Erin was a very special person who took care of many special children, first at the Wrentham State School and then as a Para-Professional for the Bico-Collaborative Schools in Norfolk, Foxboro, Plainville and North Attleboro where she remained for 20 years.
Erin loved her family and friends, the beach and held a special place in her heart for her niece Kelly. Her home was another special part of her life where she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her crazy cat Harley, also known at “Cujo”.
A motorcycle enthusiast she enjoyed rides taken with Henry on their Harley- Davidson motorcycle. She had lived in Woonsocket for the past 20 years and was formerly of Mansfield for many years and was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield.
Erin’s request to her loving family was to tell all that she wanted them to always “Keep the Faith” and “Keep Going”
In addition to her beloved husband Henry and loving mother Phyllis she was the devoted sister of Donald F. Kelly of Tiverton, R.I., Lisa A. McCarthy and her husband Tom of Pawtucket, R.I., Edward J. Kelly of Chelsea and the late William J. Kelly who passed away on February 22, 1998. She was the cherished aunt of Matthew W. Kelly of Attleboro, Billie Ann Kelly of Mansfield and Kelly A. McCarthy and Kevin T. McCarthy both of Pawtucket.
Her funeral to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Monday December 15th at 8:00 A.M. from the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 9:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mansfield.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday December 14th from 4-7 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.
