Obituary

Beatrice (LeBlanc) Adams passed away peacefully on December 6th in Plymouth. Born August 4, 1927 in Gardner, daughter of J. Alfred and Adrienne (L’Huillier Le Blanc). Married Theodore F. Adams in 1950, raised her family in Needham. Preceded in death by husband Theodore. Survived by her children James M. Adams of Plymouth, June Yolande Adams of Sebasopol, CA, Peter and his wife Michelle Adams of Jacksonville, FL and her grandchildren Nicole, Brianna and Joshua of Jacksonville. She also leaves her sisters Estelle Ford and Cornne LeBlanc of Gardner, Lucille Slack of S. Hadley and her brother Alfred and his wife Jackie LeBlanc of Bethesda, MD and many cousins, nieces and nephews loved by her. Sister of the late Rachael LeBlanc and Roger LeBlanc. She earned her diploma in nursing from St. Joseph’s Hospital in 1947 and her B.BA from Clark University in 1950. She worked as an RN until her retirement from Wellesley College in 1992. Bea was devoted to her family and children and loved to travel, play bridge and take daily walks. She played the piano and was a great music appreciator. She was a member of St. Bartholomew’s Church in Needham. Her generosity, humor and positive spirit remained with her through her final days. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on December 13th at Holy Rosary Church in Gardner. Reception to follow at the Acadian Club. Burial will be held on Monday December 15th at the Mass. National Cemetery in Bourne at 2:30. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Cr, Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360 are requested by the family.
