Loubie M. O’Neill, 69, of Summerville, wife of Larry J. O’Neill, died Sunday, December 7, 2008 at Trident Medical Center.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at 11 o’clock at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 o’clock Tuesday evening.
Mrs. O’Neill was born November 26, 1939 in Camden, SC daughter of the late James H. Gay and Effie Mae Wilkes Gay. She graduated from the High School of Charleston. She raised two children and was a homemaker. She returned to school, graduating with honors, from Baptist College (now known as Charleston Southern University).

Survivors, including her husband Larry, are one son; Michael J. O’Neill (Sherry) of Summerville, one daughter; Lori Gay O’Neill of Summerville, one sister; Cindy G. Dangerfield (Bert) of Hanahan, grandchildren; Craig and Eric Meinhardt, Nathan O’Neill and Tiana Myers and Jonathon Figueroa and two great grandchildren, nieces; Melaney Krause, Linda Spain, Cynthia Dangerfield, Lisa Barrineau and a special niece Daphany Hayes, nephews; James E. Bise, Jr., Glen R. Bise, Daniel Perez and Annette Perez and numerous great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by a sister; Vivian Bise and three brothers; William C. Gay, James H. Gay, Jr. and Charles W. Guy.
