Martha Weakley Armistead, 66, Southside, TN, died Friday, December 5, 2008, at her residence. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Rev. Roy Mullins officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday and from 1 p.m. until the time of the service Sunday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born November 6, 1942 in Waynesboro, TN daughter of the late Rev. Ewing Sanford Weakley and Martha Harris Weakley. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Armistead and a sister, Rebecca Moss. Ms. Armistead was a member of Southside United Methodisd Church. Survivors include sons, David Armistead (Martha), Palmyra, TN; and Michael Armistead (Melissa), Southside, TN; a brother Glenn Weakley (JoAnn), Southside, TN; a sister, Margaret Harris, Phoenix, AZ; three grandchildren, Madison, Adam, and Amber Armistead.
