Jose S. “Joseph” Teixeira of Somerset passed away December 3, 2008. Husband of Maria A. (Bettencourt) Teixeira and son of the late Jose and Maria (Salvadore) Teixeira. He was a Somerset resident for 41 years, a retired machine operator at Swan Finishing Company and was a parishioner of St. John of God Church.
Besides his wife, he is survived by: 3 children: George B. Teixeira of GA, Joseph B. Teixeira of Somerset and Nancy T. Santos and her husband Nelson of Fall River; 2 siblings: Antonio Manuel Teixeira and Luquecinea Pacheco both of Sao Miguel, Azores and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers and Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Saturday at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church at 9 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset. Calling hours Friday 4-8 P.M.
