Woonsocket
Ronald A. Petrin Sr. 61, of Farm St. Woonsocket died Saturday at Landmark Medical Center. He was born in Woonsocket a son of the late Albert H. and Bella (Vincelette) Petrin. Mr. Petrin was a machine operator for Dennison Manufacturing in Framingham for many years until 1989 when he became the proprietor of Andy’s Shoe Repair. He was an avid movie buff with an impressive DVD library. He was a Corvette enthusiast and the proud owner of a 1969 convertible and a 1978 T-top.
Mr. Petrin is survived by a son Ronald A. Petrin Jr. of Woonsocket, two grandchildren, Jordan and Grace, a brother Russell Petrin and his wife Patricia of N. Smithfield, two nephews Marc and Josh Petrin, and a Godmother Jeannine Fontaine.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. John’s Church, Church St. in Slatersville. Burial will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Wednesday 5-8 PM.
