Susan Parks Taylor, 56, of Moultrie died Saturday, November 29, 2008, at Colquitt Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 1, 2008, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Dan Robinson will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Bryan Nicholson, Billy Nicholson, Charles Taylor, Marcus Evans, Buck McCranie, Bo McCranie, David Keith and Scott Herzog will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 30, 2008, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Ms. Taylor was born on February 29, 1952 in Tifton and was the daughter of Lewis Gibbs "Shine" Taylor and Erline Parks Taylor, both deceased. She was a lifetime resident of Tifton and at the time of her death was residing at Park Regency Assisted Living in Moultrie. Susan was a loving aunt to her nephew and niece, an avid reader and a lifetime fan of Elvis. She held psychology degrees from Valdosta State University and Georgia State University.
Ms. Taylor is survived by her niece, Amy Taylor of Tifton; her nephew, Shine Taylor of Tampa, Florida; a brother and sister-in-law, James Earl and Elaine Taylor of Tifton; and her aunts and uncles, Rufus and Peggy Evans of Ty Ty, Perry McCranie of Brookfield, Lavert Parks and Sylvia Taylor, both of Tifton.
