Gloucester: Shawn P. Newman, 43, died unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, November 26, 2008.
Born in Beverly on September 2, 1965, he was the son of Janet L. (Jacobs) Stopyra and Stanley G. Newman. He was a lifelong resident of Gloucester. Shawn was a self-employed landscaper on Cape Ann for many years.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Jennifer L. Newman, a niece, Jamie L. Donnelly, his paternal grandmother Virginia Hart and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Shawn’s family will be receiving relatives and friends on Thursday evening in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester from 6 – 8 p.m. Funeral services will be privately held at the convenience of the family.
