Obituary

Georgia (Litsas) Zarkadas, 89 of Franklin died suddenly November 26 in Milford Regional Medical Center.
Born in Lowell, February 14, 1919, the daughter of the late Cristos and Anna (Trapanja) Litsas, Mrs. Zarkadas had lived in Franklin for the past 50 years.
A homemaker, she had been a volunteer for the Franklin FISH Program and a volunteer at the Stony Brook Nature Center in Norfolk.
Mrs. Zarkadas was a member of the St. Mary’s Church Women’s Club.
She is survived by her sons, Charles Zarkadas and his wife, Maryellen of Boston, Peter Zarkadas and his partner, Sarah Levecque of Framingham and daughter, Joanne Zarkadas and her partner, Virginia Sands of Framingham.
She is also survived by her sister, Bessie Mortgu of New Jersey and brother, Tim Adams of New Hampshire.
She was the sister of the late Helen Trinfallow, Paul Lee, Sophie League and Philip Litsas.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Gabriel, Daniel, Rahsaan and Julian. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-greatnieces and nephews and a loving close circle of friends.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, December 1 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin at 10:15 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Sunday from 3-7 p.m.
