Obituary

WORCESTER-Arthur K. Mulhearn, 79 of 10 Courtland Street, formerly of 57 Christine Street, died Monday December 31st in his home. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Beverly J. (Sanderson) Mulhearn, his son James I. Mulhearn, 2 daughters Kathleen I. Mulhearn-Smith and Doreen I. Glidewell all of Worcester, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, several nephews and nieces. 2 brothers Roger and Warren Mulhearn, a stepbrother Edward Mulhearn, a sister Marjorie Mulhearn and a stepsister Catherine O’Connor all predeceased him.

He was born in Worcester the son of James J. and Blanche I. (Smith) Mulhearn. He was a World War 2 veteran serving with the Army. Mr. Mulhearn had been a truck driver with F& H Transportation for 4 years, and previously for 26 years with Associated Transportation. He was a member of VFW Post 3329 in Millbury.

The funeral will be Friday, January 4th with a service at 11:00 AM in O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours in the funeral home are Thursday January 3rd from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
