LAKE ZURICH, IL-Hazel F. (Foley) McCann, 88 formerly of Worcester and Falmouth died Wednesday, April 23rd in Lexington Healthcare Center. Her husband William J. McCann, Sr. died in 1987. She leaves a son, Thomas A. McCann of Barrington, IL; a daughter, Mary C. Carnevale of Alexandria, VA; 8 grandchildren; a great grandson; several nephews and nieces. Her son, William J. McCann, Jr. died in 1993.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Andrew H. and Amelia E. (Hornig) Foley. Mrs. McCann graduated nursing school from Memorial Hospital where she practiced as a registered nurse during WWII.
The funeral will be Thursday, May 1st from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a mass at 10:00 AM in the Cathedral of St. Paul, 15 Chatham St., Worcester. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Wednesday, April 30th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
