Obituary

Robert V. Thomann, 79, passed away at the Life Care Nursing Home in Stoneham on November 22nd, 2008. He was born on January 19th, 1929 to his parents Oscar H. and Florence (Mintiens) Thomann. Bob has been a life long resident of Medford. For many years he worked as a machinist at the AVCO Company, formerly known as Textron. During the Korean War, he served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was a member of both the Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion Club in Medford. Bob is known to many as a “Walker” at the Meadow Glen Mall in Medford. He enjoyed the occasional trip to Foxwoods and also was a frequent visitor at Salisbury Beach. Robert was predeceased by his sister Ruthie Thomann. He is survived by many cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden at Medford line on Tuesday November 25th at 10 AM. Services will conclude with interment at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the service on Tuesday from 9-10 AM only.
