JESUP- Mrs. Vonelle H. Allen, age 75, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2008 at Altamaha Healthcare in Jesup after an extended illness. She was a native of Wayne County, a Christian by faith and attended God’s Little Temple. She was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband Nevel M. Allen and her grandson Jimbo Hendricks.
Survivors are 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Polly and Jackie Hendricks of Jesup, Roxanne and Marc Reyes of White Oak; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Curtis (Bo) and Gay Allen, and Charles and Jennifer Allen, all of Jesup; one brother and sister-in-law, Calvin and Johnnie Hayes of Jesup; 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, November 24, 2008, 12:00-1:30 P.M. from the Howard-Jones-Nobles Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 P.M. from the Jesup City Cemetery with Rev. Ira Corbett and Rev. Johnny Lewis officiating.
