Shrewsbury
Elizabeth J. (Patterson) Schonborg-Ostlund, 75 of Fort Walton Beach, FL, formerly of Shrewsbury, died Saturday, (April 26) in Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, after an extended illness.
She leaves three sons, David G. Schonborg of Fort Walton Beach, Fl, Lee B. Schonborg of Shrewsbury and Douglas M. Ostlund of Seattle, WA., three daughters, Linda J. McDaniel of Normal, IL, Elizabeth A. Etre of Worcester, and Rebecca J. Ostlund of North Grafton, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Her first husband George R. Schonborg died in 1961. Her second husband Maynard M. Ostlund died in 1974. Three brothers and one sister, all predeceased her and a grandson, Brian M. McDaniel of Normal, IL died in 2001. Mrs. Ostlund was born in Worcester, daughter of Donald and Nellie (Stover) Patterson.
After graduating from Shrewsbury High School. Mrs. Ostlund attended Becker Jr. College. She worked as a Medical and Legal Secretary for a number of years before retiring to Florida in 1987. She enjoyed the beach, reading, crocheting, knitting, golf and her beloved cat LB.
The Funeral will be held Thursday( May1) at 11 a.m. in Fay Brothers Funeral Home 1 West Boylston St. West Boylston (www.faybrothers.com). Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Mountain View Cemetery. Calling Hours are Thursday (May 1) from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
