Rose M. Amato, 81 of Medford, died Thursday September 20 after a brief illness in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Born in Boston, she lived in Medford for the past 38 years and was the daughter of the late Domenica (LiCavoli) and Paul Scola. Rose was a Homemaker and a very family minded and religious person. Beloved wife of the late Salvator Amato. Devoted mother of Josephine Laskey and her husband Richard of Hampton, NH, Anthony Amato and his wife Nancy of Westford and the late Marianne Amato. Loving grandmother of Richard M. Laskey III, Christopher Laskey, Jenna, Anthony M., and Stephanie Amato. Sister of Vincenza Marino of Medford and the late Phillipa, Lawrence, Anna, Peter, Salvatore, Phyllis, Michael and Joseph. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD MONDAY at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 3-7. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
