Henry Emil Naehle of Andover, beloved husband of Regina M. (Tyner) Naehle, died at the Lawrence General Hospital on Monday, November 17, 2008. He was 85 years old.
Born in Washington, DC, he was the beloved son of the late Emil and Gretchen (Hennebohle) Naehle. Mr. Naehle was a WWII US Army Air Force Veteran. He was a Special Agent with the FBI, serving in Buffalo, New York and New York City and Boston, Massachusetts, from 1953 until his retirement in 1977. Henry was a long time communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Andover and a member of the Society of former Special Agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Inc. He received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from George Washington University and also attended George Washington University Law School.
Besides his wife, Regina, he will be very sorely missed by one son and daughter-in-law, Paul and his wife Michele of North Andover; one daughter and son-in-law, Diane and her husband Kevin McCarthy of South Yarmouth; three grandchildren: Kerrie McCarthy of Orange, New Jersey, and Derek and Nicole Naehle, both of North Andover, three cousins; Ruth Musse of Iserlohn, Germany, Milton Naehle of Silver Spring, Maryland, Marie Barry of Woodstock, Georgia, and many nieces and nephews.
Many relatives and friends respectfully attended his Funeral Mass on Saturday, November 22, 2008, at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 198 Haggetts Pond Road, Andover, at 11 AM. Calling hours were held Friday, November 21, 2008, from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover. Burial was in West Parish Garden Cemetery, Andover.
