Obituary

DRACUT - Jennie M. (Stempien) (Decker) Anderson, 85, a lifelong resident of Dracut, died Wednesday November 12th at Willow Manor in Lowell. She was the wife of the late Arvid "Andy" Anderson, and the late Raymond R. Decker.

She was born in Lowell on October 7, 1923, and was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Wojtowicz) Stempien. She received her education in Dracut schools.

Mrs. Anderson spent her life tending to the needs of her home and family.

In her free time she enjoyed knitting and playing bingo. She was also a member of a Friday night sewing circle.

She was a communicant of St. Casimir Church in Lowell, a member and former Chaplain of the Marine Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of the Polish American Veterans Ladies Auxiliary, the A.A.R.P., and the Tow. Marji Konopnickiej.

She is survived by a son Raymond R. Decker and his wife Midge of St. Petersburg, FL, two daughters, Mary L. Jackson of Lowell, and Barbara A. Roth and her husband Gerald of Tyngsboro; eight grandchildren Jerry Roth and his wife Sandra, Joseph Roth and his wife Kathleen, Donna Dailey, wife of the late Charlie Dailey, Randall Jackson, Thomas Jackson, R. Robert Decker and his wife Nicole, Kenneth Decker,and his wife Diane; twelve great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also the mother of the late Joseph Decker, grandmother to the late Pamela (Jackson) Lakin, and sister of the late Stanley, William, Frank, Eddie, Teddy, Josie, Amelia, Gladys, and Helen.

Jennie's family wishes to thank the staff of Willow Manor for the love, and care that they gave to their mother.

Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Saturday from 9 until 11 AM, followed by her Funeral Service at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment in Tyngsboro Memorial Cemetery in Tyngsboro. Those who wish may make donations in her name to St. Casimir Church, 268 Lakeview Ave., Lowell, MA 01850.
