Ralph C. Menchi Sr., 86, of Stoneham, died Monday in the Southwood Nursing Center, Norwell, after a long illness.
Born and raised in Somerville, he was the son of the late Joseph and Carmella Menchi. Mr. Menchi lived in Stoneham more than 50 years.
He was a Restauranteur, and owned the Palm Gardens Café and Venice Lounge in Boston and the Franklin Café in Quincy.
He was the husband of the late Angelina (Gerace). He leaves his sons: Ralph, Jr. of Rockland and Joseph of Tewksbury. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a brother Jack Menchi of Roslindale.
Funeral will be Thursday at 9 AM from the Dello Russo Funeral Home,306 Main St., Medford, with a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in St. Patrick Church, Stoneham. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Friends and relatives may visit Wednesday from 4 thru 8.
