WORCESTER-Marie M. (Mees) Adams, 96, formerly of Worcester, died Saturday, November 8th in Oakwood Nursing Center, Webster. Her husband, George H. Adams, died in 1999. She leaves three sons, George H. Adams, Jr. of Ft. Myers, FL, Paul S. Adams of Ellenton, FL, and Allen E. Adams of Howell, MI; a daughter, Patricia A. Willand of Northfield; a brother, John Mees of Benton City, WA; 9 grandchildren; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was born in Amsterdam, the daughter of Cornelius and Maria M. (Keesman) Mees and lived here many years. Mrs. Adams was a clerk at the former Denholm & McKay and Barnard’s Department Stores. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and the College Hill Civic Club.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. There are no calling hours. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, is directing arrangements.
