Obituary

WORCESTER___Janina Kulesza, 89, of Worcester, formerly of Cherry Valley, died Monday November 3, 2008 in St. Mary Health Care Center, Worcester.

She leaves two sisters, Teresa Danek of Cherry Valley and Helen Grodcki in Poland; a brother, Joseph Kulesza in Poland; a sister-in-law, Helen Kulesza of Cherry Valley; five nephews, four nieces, grand nephews and grand nieces. She was predeceased by five brothers, Stanley, Walter, Teofil, Boleslaw and Chester Kulesza. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of Aleksander and Zofia (Choinski) Kulesza and at the age of 2 went with her family to live in Poland until 1956 when she returned to this country. She lived in Cherry Valley from 1956 to 1978 when she moved to Worcester.

Miss Kulesza was a machine operator at various small goods manufacturing companies. She retired in 1984 from Holden Plastic Co. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Cherry Valley. Janina enjoyed working in her gardens.

The funeral will be held on Saturday November 8 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 759 Main Street, Cherry Valley. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Cherry Valley. Calling hours in the funeral home are Friday November 7, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, Ma., 01701.
