Norman J. Marshall , 96, of Salem, NH, died Wed. Nov. 5th at Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, MA.
He was born and educated in Medford, MA and Waltham schools. He was a resident of Salem for over 40 years, formerly of Waltham and Marlboro, MA.
Norman was a retired Security Guard for Raytheon Corp. in Andover, MA previously working for Waltham Watch Co. in Waltham. Norman was a gifted musician who played the piano, drums and saxophone. He met his wife while performing with his brothers at the Embassy Theater in Waltham. Norman directed and performed many variety shows for children. He was a member of the Waltham American Legion Band which traveled worldwide.
Norman was a member of First Congregational Church in Salem. He was very involved with the Salem Senior Center and founded the Salem Senior Singers and directed them for many years. Norman was a member of the Spicket Lodge # 85 F & A M in Salem and the Bektash Shriners in Concord, NH. He volunteered for the Special Olympics and was a volunteer driver for the Salem Caregivers. Norman received the John P. Ganley Award. In his later years, Norman developed a passion for bowling. He was predeceased by his brothers Sidney and Edward.

Nancy & her husband Russell Girard of Hampstead, NH
Brother: Frederick Marshall of Florida
10 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandson, Several Nieces & Nephews
A memorial service will be Tues. Nov. 11th at 11AM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.
