Christopher "Chris" Earl Thomas, 42, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away Friday, September 23, 2005, at Tift Regional Medical Center of natural causes following an extended illness. A graveside funeral service was held for Mr. Thomas at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 26, 2005, at Cumorah Cemetery in Douglas, where he was laid to rest. Carlton Burns and Roger Flanagan spoke at the service.
Mr. Thomas' friends served as pallbearers.
Born February 8, 1963, in Tift County, Mr. Thomas was the son of Joyce Ann Miller Thomas of Enigma and the late Byron Earl Thomas, who passed away on September 30, 2004. He was a computer programmer; and he was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Tifton.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife, Brandi Likes Thomas of Jacksonville, Florida; and one son, Justin Likes of Tifton.
