Mrs. Philomena E. “Betty” (Medeiros) McTague, of Taunton, died Tuesday, Novem-
ber 4 in Morton Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late
Francis P. McTague. She was born 82 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late
Manuel and Fannie (Smith) Medeiros. She was educated in Taunton and had been a
lifelong city resident. Mrs. McTague enjoyed visiting Foxwoods and spending time
with her family. She was a communicant of the former St. Joseph’s Church in Taunton.
She leaves:
1 son: Ronald F. McTague of Woonsocket, R.I.
1 daughter: Pamela Jean Curley of Lakeville
2 brothers: Manuel Medeiros of Berkley
Joseph Mendoza of Raynham
3 grandchildren: Jason Corr of Taunton, who resided with Betty for a time and was
most helpful to her.

A Memorial Mass to which relatives and friends are invited will be celebrated at St.
Paul’s Church, 261 Tremont Street on Friday, November 7 at 10:00 A.M. Interment
will be private. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. Expressions of sympathy in
