Doris M. (Young) Amaral, wife of the late Manuel Amaral, died at Morton Hospital on Oct. 30, 2008. She was 91.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Hiram E. and Maud (Harrison) Young.
An inspector in the jewelry industry, she enjoyed bingo, cards, crossword puzzles and cooking, and being blessed with a great sense of humor, making people laugh.
She leaves a brother, Hiram Young of Taunton; 3 sisters, Anita Craven and her husband Alfred of Taunton, Alice Mendoza and her husband George of N. Dighton and Shirley Enos and her husband Richard of Taunton; her sister-in-law, Helen Adams Young of Falmouth; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late William and Adelbert Young and the late Patricia Jones.
Funeral Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 11 a.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be on Monday, Nov. 3 from 5 to 8 p.m.
