MILLBURY-Stanislawa (Krasowska) Niepokoyczycki, 81, formerly of Worcester died on Friday, October 31 after a long illness. She was a resident of Millbury Health Care Center for several years.
Her husband, Walter Niepokoyczycki, died in 1992. She leaves a son, Mark Niepokoyczycki and his wife, Jody of Auburn; a daughter, Eva (Niepokoyczycki) Rugoletti and her husband, Charles, of Manchester, NH; grandsons, Paul Niepokoyczycki of Portsmouth, NH and Dominic Rugoletti of Manchester, NH; and a granddaughter, Alice Rugoletti, of Manchester, NH. A granddaughter, Amy Niepokoyczycki, died in 2001 after a courageous five-year battle with Hodgkin’s disease.
She was born in Warsaw, Poland, on December 16, 1926, daughter of Wladyslaw and Anastazja (Sochacka) Krasowski. Mrs. Niepokoyczycki was a teenage liaison for the Polish Home Army during the Warsaw Uprising in 1944, and a survivor of the Oberlangen death camp in Germany. After liberation, she worked for the Polish Second Corps in Italy before moving to London, England in 1947. She and her husband immigrated to the United States in 1951 and obtained citizenship in 1958.
Mrs. Niepokoyczycki was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, November 4 at 9:00 AM at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St., Worcester. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. There are no visiting hours. The family requests that flowers be omitted, instead, donations in Mrs. Niepokoyczycki’s memory may be made to the Millbury Health care Center, Alzheimer’s Unit, 312 Millbury Ave., Millbury, MA 01527.
