John A. O’Keeffe of Pembroke died after a short illness on October 28, 2008. He was 71 years old. Mr. O’Keeffe was born in Milton, and is the son of John and Mildred O’Keeffe. Mr. O’Keeffe graduated from Boston College and Leighton University. He served as a Green Beret operative in Vietnam. He was a member of the Orient Masonic Lodge in Norwood, and the Samoset Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.

Nephew of Richard O’Keeffe. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, November 2nd from 3-9:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St (Rt. 14) Pembroke. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 3rd at 11:00 AM at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 17 Church St, Hanover. Burial will be at the Blue Hills Cemetery in Braintree.
