Carmela A. Jodice, age 94, of Burlington formerly of Medford, died October 15th at the Woodbriar of Wilmington Nursing Home following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of the late James Carmen
Jodice. Born in Hartford, CT on 4 December 1914 she was the daughter of the late Rose (Soave) and Vito Ferro.
"Millie", as she was known to her family and friends, lived in Medford for many years and later moved to Burlington. After moving to Burlington, She was employed at Lord and Taylor until her retirement.
Millie is survived by her daughter, Rosemary (Jodice) Saraiva and her husband William Saraiva of Burlington, and her son, James Jodice and his wife Dorothy (Hutchinson) Jodice of Manchester-by-the-Sea. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Mary Jodice Fiske and her husband John Noble Fiske Jr. of Prides Crossing, MA; and James Thomas Jodice and his wife Dana Nyhoff Jodice of Parker, CO and Marie Saraiva Matchett of Burlington. She is further survived by her great grandchildren, Alexander Constantine Fiske of Prides Crossing, MA and James Cameron Jodice of Parker, CO.
Funeral from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St., Monday, November 3rd, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Margaret Church 109 Winn St. Burlington, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday, November 2nd, from 3 thru 7 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Burlington.
