AUGUSTA- Ms. Joan Wiggins Tapley, 66, entered into rest on Friday, October 24, 2008 at Doctors Hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Hewitt and the Rev. Johnny Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
Ms. Tapley is survived by her sons, Charles Wiggins and John Chaffin, her daughters, Patty Coleman, Angela Hill and Cindy Johnson, a brother, Billy Myers, three sisters, Athie Lee Davis, Geraldine Smith, and Annette Holley, eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Irons.
Pallbearers will be Terry Myers, Gary Barker, Tony Goodwin, Danny Daugherty, Ron Williams and Glen Thurmond.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, October 28, 2008 from 5:00 PM to 9:00.
