Worcester- Mary F. (Lada) Pechinis, 78, of 21 Clarkson Street, died Wednesday, April 16, in Hermitage Nursing Home, after an illness.
She leaves her husband of 51 years, William Pechinis; two sons, William D. Pechinis and Thomas E. Pechinis, both of Worcester; two daughters, Patricia M. Thomas of Shrewsbury and Carolyn M. Troy of Worcester; a sister, Rita A. Smith of Northbrook, Illinois; 11 grandchildren; a great grandson; nephews and nieces. A daughter, Jean F. Zoto of Hyannis, died in 2000. A brother, Joseph A. Lada of Worcester, died in 1974. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Frank and Mary (Kalwarczyk) Lada and lived here all her life. She graduated from Commerce High School.
She was a secretary at Rockwood Sprinkler Company.
She was a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Parish and a former member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Catholic Parish.
The funeral will be held Monday, April 21, from Henry-Dirsa Funeral Home, 33 Ward Street (www.worcesterfuneral.com), with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, April 21, in the funeral home.
