WEST BOYLSTON
Stanley T. Johnson, 80, of West Boylston passed away Fri., Oct. 24, in the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence. He leaves two brothers, Robert D. Johnson with whom he lived and Leonard F. and his wife Mary Johnson of Shrewsbury; five nephews, Mark J. Urella of Holden, David C. and his wife, Denise Urella of Worcester, Mark P. and his wife Ann Marie Johnson of Worcester, Robert D. and his wife Susan Johnson of Southbridge and David S. and his wife, Tina Johnson of Sturbridge; two nieces, Deborah L. and her husband Richard Cyr of Charlton and Pamela and her husband Thomas Hayes of Mt. Pleasant, SC; nine great-nephews; and five great-nieces. A sister, Norma Urella Petrone, predeceased him. He was born in Webster, son of the late Gertrude A. (Trocki) Johnson and graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School and attended Worcester Junior College. He was a Marine Corp Veteran of WWII, the Korean War and served in the Massachusetts National Guard.
Stan was a printer in the Graphic Arts Department for State Mutual Life Assurance Co., retiring in 1993. He was a member the Harold N. Keith American Legion Post #204, the Central Mass. Amateur Radio Assoc. and Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, where he served as an usher and collector.
The funeral will be held Mon., Oct. 27, from FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 West Boylston St. with a Mass at 10AM in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St., Burial with Military Honors will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. Visiting Hours are Sun., Oct 26, from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
