Joseph W. Powers a longtime Salem, New Hampshire resident died Tuesday morning at his home in Derry, NH where he has lived for the past 4 months, he was 45 years old.
Mr. Powers was born in Worcester, MA and moved to Salem, NH in 1960. He was educated in Salem, NH schools and had previously worked as a drug rehabilitation counselor at Baldpate Hospital. For a number of years he also worked as a substitute teacher in Salem, New Hampshire and had also previously worked at Salem Coca-Cola on the bottling line.
He was the son of the late John W. Powers who died in 1992 and Catherine Connor Powers who died in December 2002.

3 brothers, John E. Powers Jr. of Salem, NH Paul J. Powers of Apopka, Florida James Powers of Allenstown, NH

Funeral services will be Friday at 10:00am at Mary Queen of Peace Church in Salem, NH followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery also in Salem.
