Richard L. Howard, 64, of North Charleston, husband of Siri Kumnog Howard, died Thursday, October 16, 2008 at his home.
A graveside service will be Friday, October 24, 2008 at 2 o’clock at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville.
Friends may call at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, Summerville from 6 until 8 o’clock this evening.

Mr. Howard was born September 3, 1944 of Wilmington, North Carolina, son of Eugene Jonah Howard and Mary Catherine Jones Howard. He was a graduate of Williston Senior High School, Wilmington, NC. He was a member of the American Legion and C.A.R.E. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in Vietnam. He was employed at DynCorp in the materials management department.
Surviving in addition to his wife are:
4 sons: Victor Kumnog of Atlanta, Georgia, Siamarth Kumnog and his wife Barbara of San Antonio, Texas, Brian Howard and his wife Angel of San Diego, California and Charles Howard and his wife Fara of North Charleston.
11 grandchildren: Maria Delcarmen Mercado, Antonio Jesus Acosta, Ezekiel Luican Howard, Tacina Elise Howard, Chaeli Angel Howard, Izaac Jayce Howard, Samuel Richard Howard, Daniel Jay Howard, Chandlor Kumnog, Jayden Kumnog and Asia Kumnog.
3 brothers: Walter W. Howard of Brooklyn, NY, Earl D. Howard of Springfield, NJ and Eugene “Russell” Howard of Wilmington, North Charleston.
He was predeceased y his sister: Mary Elizabeth Howard Wright.
