WORCESTER-William H. Sargent, Jr., 82, of Worcester, died Monday, October 20th at home after an illness. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lorraine S. (Buskey) Sargent; 2 sons, William H. Sargent, III and his wife, Donna and Brian J. Sargent and his wife, Theresa all of Worcester; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. His sister Ruth Buskey and a granddaughter predeceased him.
He was born in Worcester, the son of William H. and Mary J. (Fitzgerald) Sargent. Mr. Sargent had worked as a TV repairman for Forsberg and Carlson as well as for himself. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a member of Our Lady of the Angels Parish, a former member of Heritage Country Club; and had a tremendous passion for golf.
The funeral is Friday, October 24th with a service at 10:00 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, October 23rd from 5:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
