Obituary

Mary (Oghgasian) Ogasian, 92, of 123 Holden Street, Worcester, died Sunday, April 13, in University of Massachusetts Medical Center, Memorial Campus. Her husband of many years, John K. Ogasian, died in 1973. She leaves two sons, John K. Ogasian, Jr., of Yarmouthport; and Harry B. Ogasian of Granby, CT; a sister, Lucy Hodges of Springfield; many grandchildren and great- grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A brother, John Oghgasian, of Millbury predeceased her.

Mrs. Ogasian was born in Worcester, daughter of Ermeia and Margaret (Safar) Oghgasian and resided in the Worcester area most of her life. She was a graduate of Leominster High School.

Mrs.Ogasian owned and operated the former J.K. Ogasian Electrical Appliance Store, 179 Belmont Street, with her husband for 50 years, retiring many years ago.She was a member of the Armenian Church of the Martyrs, the Friendly Circle of the church, and Stella Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. She loved to cook.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Wednesday 6-8pm in the funeral home.Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to The Armenian Church of The Martyrs, 22 Ormond Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
