Mrs. Karen Vasques, age 37 of Medford MA, died Friday in the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. She is the wife of Derek Vasques with whom they shared more than 2 years of marriage.
She was born in Lynn and spent her earlier years in Everett. She had worked as a Bartender. She often wrote poems and thoroughly enjoyed the beach. She was an avid reader and enjoyed listening to music. Mrs. Vasaques was fond of animals and loved her dog Roxi.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by an infant daughter Elise.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Wednesday at 10 am. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 11 am.. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
