Cecile L. Metivier 79, of Brigham Hill Nursing Center 23 North Brigham Hill Rd. Grafton, formerly of Worcester, died Monday (April 14) at UMASS Memorial Medical Center-University Campus after an illness.
She leaves a brother, Edward Metivier of Sterling and five nephews and nieces. A brother Joseph Metivier of Kittery, ME and a sister, Constance Lyons of Worcester both predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Exlore and Loretta (Perrault) Metivier. She graduated from Holy Family School and Saint Anne’s Academy in Marlborough.She has lived in Grafton for three years, prior to that she had lived in Worcester.
She worked for Denholm and McKay Department Store until it closed.
She was a member of Saint Paul’s Cathedral.
A Funeral will be held Wednesday (April 16) with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Paul’s Cathedral. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
