Obituary

Edward J. Kulak, 77, of Derry, NH died Saturday October 18, 2008 at Parkland Medical Center, Derry. Mr. Kulak was born in Salem, MA on September 30, 1931, the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Dunajska) Kulak. He had resided in Derry for 29 years, previously traveling abroad with the military for many years. Retiring in 1979 as a Major, he was a US Air Force veteran serving for 26 years. Mr. Kulak worked at Digital Corp. in Salem, NH for ten years. A communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Derry, he was also a member of the VFW and the American Legion Lester Chase Post #9 in Derry.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Pauline A. (Perreault) Kulak of Derry, four sons, Stanley Kulak of Derry, Alan Kulak and Kymberly Hieber of Merrimack, NH, Ronald Kulak and his wife Kari of West Point, UT, Michael Kulak and his wife Gail of Dunbarton, NH, three grandchildren, Steven, Travis and Cindy Kulak, one sister, Stella Buivid of Salem, MA, one brother, Chester Kulak of Machias, ME, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were held Wednesday October 22, 2008 from 5 to 8pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday at 10:00am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave, Derry. Burial with military honors followed at 1:30pm in the N.H. State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
