Theresa (Bourke Boisvert Campbell) Jones, 78, of Manchester, died October 16, 2008.
She was born on June 23, 1930, in Concord, NH, the daughter of Roland and Anna (LeFebvre) Bourke. She had lived most of her life in Manchester prior to moving to York Beach, ME, in 1992. She returned to the Manchester area in 2002.
Theresa was educated at St. George High School for Girls and graduated from Hesser College.
She was co-owner of Campbell Towing Service until they sold and she retired in 1981.
Always interested in politics, she had run for several local offices and served as an officer of the Republican City Committee from 1969 to 1974.
She was predeceased by her first husband Andrew Boisvert and her second husband R. Gordon Campbell.
Family members include her husband of 16 years, Merritt Jones of Manchester; one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Lynda Boisvert) Schuepp of Jackson, NH; one step-son, Douglas Campbell of Manchester; 3 step-daughters, Mrs. Michael (Roberta Jones) Dow of York, ME, Mrs. Richard (Mary Jones Cutts) Schoeff of York, ME, and Mrs. David (Laura Jones) Gilchrest of York, ME; 3 sisters, Joan Jewell Caron, Doris Larochelle, Nancy Robitaille, all of Manchester; a brother, Roland Burke and his wife, Pauline, of Palm Beach, FL; one granddaughter, Tiga Schuepp of Jackson, NH; seven step-grandchildren; five step-great grandchildren; her special friends, Norma and Muriel.
Funeral services and urn burial in York, ME was private and at a later date.
