Robin (Bridge) Williams, 45 yrs old, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2008 with her husband at her side. She lost her long and valiant battle with lung cancer.
Robin was born and raised in Reading, MA and moved to Salem, NH in 1988. She leaves her devoted husband and life partner of 18 years Brian Williams, her sisters Carol Pelosi and husband Paul and their children Lisa and Lori, of Reading, MA., Valerie Bridge and partner Roger Nyren, of Raymond, NH, Lauri Azari and husband Farbood and their son Michael of Houston, TX and Janet Polachek of Perskasie, PA., her only brother William Bridge III and partner Lynn Luciano of Stoneham, MA., her step-children Julie Williams, Tracy Donahue and husband Tom, Kim Ackerman and husband Jack, and her step-grandchildren Matthew Williams, Stephanie Palermo, and Casey, Kevin, and Thomas Donahue, sister-in-law Charlene Williams and partner, Marion Montgomery, dear friend Gwen Brainard, William and Francis Hildebrandt and her beloved cat Rusty.
She had a special bond with her beloved horse Calloways Collectable (a.k.a. Louie) an American Saddlebred who she showed at many of the New England competitions and with whom she won numerous blue ribbons and championships. She was a member of the New England Horseman’s Council, North Shore Horsemen’s Association, New Hampshire Horse and Trail Association, New England Saddlebred Association and United States Equestrian Federation and was associated with numerous other equine groups, including American Saddlebred Association and Twin State Saddlebred Association. She was a true champion in every sense of the word.
Robin was a member of Derry Salem Elks Club #2226 and of the Harley Owner’s Group.
Robin was a twenty-five year employee of M/A Com in Lowell, MA and recently received a 25 year award commemorating her company loyalty. She held many different positions in her career at M/A Com, the most recent as a Certified Microsoft P.C. Technician. Robin’s “disease to please” attitude touched many lives in a positive way both at work and at home. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
Calling hours will be held Sun. Oct. 19 from 2-5 PM, followed by a funeral service at 5 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH.
Burial will be private for the family at a later date.
