Obituary

POTTER, Lloyd G., M.D. Of Weston, MA, formerly of Belmont MA, Exeter, NH and Sugar Hill, NH passed away October 10th. He is survived by his loving wife Janet whom he married in 1951, over 57 years ago; his devoted three daughters Jennifer Brotman, Robina Skinner and Susie Potter and their husbands Judd, Scott and Fer and his grandchildren, Alexander, Matthew, Andrea and Laura May. Lloyd is also survived by his brother Gregory C. Potter and his family. Born in Annapolis, Maryland, Lloyd Potter graduated from Episcopal Academy in Philadelphia, University of Pennsylvania and Jefferson Medical School. Lloyd served in both World War II as an enlisted man and in the Korean conflict as an officer. He was a family physician practicing medicine in Belmont, before becoming the Medical Director at McLean Hospital. He later moved to Exeter, NH to return to family medicine by joining the Exeter Clinic and then subsequently forming The Hampton Medical Associates. He retired from medicine in 1988, affording him more time to dedicate to his lifelong passion of fine woodworking. He created beautiful pieces of furniture, primarily working with hand tools, fine woods and natural finishes. Janet and Lloyd moved back to the Boston area to enjoy being near their family. A private service will be held. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Stratham, NH SPCA.
