David Venditelli, 64, of Bayou Drive, Greenville, a carpenter and owner of the former Venditelli’s Butcher Shop in Greenville, died Sunday, October 12, 2008 at Lahey Clinic after a three week illness. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Bush) Venditelli.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Antonio and Gelsomina (Gesmondi) Venditelli. He had lived in Smithfield since 1972.
He was a carpenter for Pyramid Contracting for eight years and a member of the Smithfield Sportsmen’s Club. He was an avid Patriot and Red Sox Fan.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children Karen Diggle of Greenville, Keith Venditelli of Johnston, seven grandchildren, twin great grandsons, and his siblings George Venditelli of North Carolina, Anthony and Daniel Venditelli both of Johnston, Robert Venditelli of Warwick, Theresa Croce of Johnston and his mother-in-law, Winifred Bush of Greenville. He was the brother of the late Felix Venditelli.
Funeral Thursday at 8:30 am from the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday at 9:30am St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Johnston. Visitation Wednesday 4-7pm.
