Obituary


Janine L. Dubois 78, of Manville Hill Rd. Cumberland, died Friday in Mendon, MA at the home of her son. Janine was the wife of the late William E. Dubois. She was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Valmor and Anita (Sutherland) Cadoret. Janine was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was involved in many community projects and volunteer organizations which included Meals on Wheels, American Cancer Society, ALS Society, Y-wives, Woonsocket Rotary Club and Apres Midi Club. One of her greatest passions was her fund raising efforts for the Museum of Work and Culture. Of great pride was her involvement in the museums Nun Project. In 2002, Janine was honored by the museum and Mayor of Woonsocket who declared November 14th "Janine Dubois Day". Janine most enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, friends and church community.

Janine is survived by a daughter Christine A. Gramolini and her husband Rodney of North Smithfield, and two sons, William E. Dubois Jr. of Woonsocket and Jacques C. Dubois and his wife JoAnn of Mendon, MA. She is further survived by five grandchildren, Jeffrey and Julie Gramolini, and Justin, Danielle, and Kristina Dubois. She was the sister of the late Estelle and Pauline Cadoret.

Her funeral will be held Friday at 8:30 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. John Vianney Church, Diamond Hill Rd., Cumberland. Burial will be held in Resurrection Cemetery in Cumberland. Visiting hours are Thursday 5-8 PM.
