Louise Rodgers Peavy, 95, of Fitzgerald died Friday, October 10, 2008,at her home in Fitzgerald, GA.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, October 12, 2008, at 4 PM at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Keith Goodlett officiating.
The last of eight children, Mrs. Peavy was born December 23, 1912 to George W. and Mamie Taylor Rodgers. A graduate of Fitzgerald High School, she had lived in the community all of her life. She was an active member of Central United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She was a former member of the Floraculture Garden Club and was an avid bridge player.
She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Peavy, of St. Petersburg, FL and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Neil Peavy.
